ETHOS (Online) | Tech Support and Systems Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical assistance and support to all Ethos students, teachers, and staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software and networking systems, Ensure seamless access and operation of technology within the school.
  • Support educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Resolve tech issues related, but not limited, to onboarding, logins, platform creation, gradebook settings, software and platform updates within LMS and SIS.
  • Create and maintain effective systems for network infrastructure and help desk tickets.
  • Support online testing platforms, educational apps, and ensure tech readiness for assessments.
  • Provide basic IT training and workshops for staff to improve tech integration in the classroom.
  • Maintain documentation of all IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Five or more years of experience in tech support or systems management roles, familiarity with educational tech tools, software, and LMS/SIS platforms.
  • Proficiency with various operating systems (Mac, Windows, Chromebooks, etc.) and network systems.
  • Previous experience in IT support, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and cloud-based systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & CAPABILITIES

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and thrive in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working with non-technical users.
  • Proven experience as a systems manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and protocols.
