School of Ballet | After School Coordinator/Admin Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, care and mentor up to 25 students during the School of Ballet Program hours
  • Develop, monitor and maintain a balance of program activities.
  • Monitor and maintain program materials, facilities, and guidelines – including behavioral.
  • Track and report attendance. Assist students with  homework and serve snacks.
  • Help clean and maintain areas.
  • Develop reports and/or provide information as required by the program director.
  • Participate in staff meetings and campus-wide activities.
  • Orders supplies and materials for  program
  • Operates various office machines including, but not limited to copiers, computers, and  printers.
  • Organizes and efficiently maintains program files, reports and prepares various reports for  program
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  •  High school degree or equivalent
  • Relevant experience, preferably in a Before/After School Program environment for grades K-3 and higher in an educational institution.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistantProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

CERTIFICATIONS

  • First aid and CPR certification is required.

  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to convey a dynamic, energetic, patient, and nurturing spirit with passion and skill to actively and positively engage students.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  •  Flexible, with the ability to work in a highly demanding environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative with the self-motivation and drive to ensure successful program implementation and management.
  • Ability to actively demonstrate the desire for Christ-like relationships by engaging in full campus life and ministry with colleagues, parents and students.
  • Availibltity  to work 20-30 hours weekly for 10 months.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift and carry children (up to 50 lbs.), including kneeling, bending, stooping, stretching, or squatting to interact with children.
  • Using fingers and hands to manipulate small objects.
  • Running short distances.
  •  Sitting on the floor.
  • Bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching out.
  • Moving arms and legs quickly.
