HR Specialist - Workforce Management

The Human Resources Specialist for Workforce Management will establish, implement, and execute GAC’s recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding strategies. This position will play a key and critical role in GAC’s ability to attract and retain top talent. This highly visible role will work collaboratively with GAC’s leaders and candidates through all stages of talent acquisition, provide new hires with a best-in-class onboarding experience, and ensure those who offboard will become ambassadors for GAC. This role will focus on creating effective strategies to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will lead and manage GAC’s Red Carpet service throughout recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and off-boarding.
Recruitment
- Manage the full cycle recruiting process and recruiting sites
- Partner with GAC’s leaders to develop a staffing plan, set priorities for hiring, and obtain budget and hiring approvals
- Define a recruitment strategy, develop effective sourcing through multi-modems, build a pipeline of talent, and maintain relationships with applicants and former employees
- Manage agency relationships and hiring processes for select roles
- Develop and maintain job descriptions
- Manage GAC’s website career page
- Manage applicant tracking
- Review resumes
- Setup and initiate the recruitment workflow for GAC staff involved in interviewing
- Create offer letters and negotiate salaries under the hiring manager’s direction
- Perform background, drug-screening, and references checks
- Maintain knowledge and compliance of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
Onboarding
- Initiate onboarding workflow to notify multiple departments of new hires
- Manage onboarding workflow for Human Resources
- Provide guidance and support to new hires ensuring timely completion of all employment forms, benefits enrollment, and access to resources and tools in the HRIS platform
Orientation
- Initiate orientation workflow and schedule multiple departments who lead an orientation session
- Conduct orientation session to communicate GAC’s culture, values, policies, procedures, and expectations to new hires
- Provide new hires with organizational information they need to navigate their new role, team, and department at GAC
- Provide new hire support to ensure a smooth transition into GAC
- Checkin with new hires at the end of Week One and 30/60/90 days for feedback
Off-Boarding
- Initiate off-boarding workflow to notify multiple departments when an employee separates
- Manage off-boarding workflow for Human Resources
- Prepare and distribute separation documentation
- Conduct exit interviews when appropriate
- Manage verifications of employment (VOE)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Five years of Human Resources experience with a minimum of two years’ experience in talent acquisition
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Or, any equivalent combination of experience and education
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS and talent management systems (Paylocity experience preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS
- HRCI-PHR or SHRM-CP, or the ability to attain certification within an agreed-upon timeframe

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS and talent management systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to report to work onsite at the Norcross office location
- Must be able to work within a typical office environment with some noise and distractions
- Close vision for computer work, and the ability to see details at close range required
- Repetitive motion--substantial movement of the hands, wrists, and fingers
- Ability to hear and understand speech and other sounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- May be required to lift up to 15 lbs. from time to time

- Successful reference check, background check, and drug and alcohol screen clearance
