Spartan Aquatics Club, located in Norcross, GA has an immediate opening for a motivated and enthusiastic part-tine Swim Coach.  This is a great opportunity to provide fun, safe swimming sessions appropriate to the ages and abilities of the children, aged 6 years and up.  You will be responsible for the planning and delivering practices, encouraging improvement within the various ages and ability levels, and maintaining the highest safety standard at all times.

The essential job responsibilities of the part-tine Swim Coach will include, but are not limited to:

• Establish and maintain relationships and open communications with swimmers and parents.
• Support the coaching philosophy and direction of the club as established by the Head Coach.
• Administrative responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach and Lead Coach.

The ideal candidate must be dependable, have a passion for high-quality work, have coaching experience, and be willing to work following our coaching philosophy.

The pay will be $20/hour, and less than 30 hours/week will normally be scheduled with some weeks requiring additional hours due to swim meets.  A detailed schedule will be provided prior to the start date.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience in a competitive swim environment.
• Extensive experience as a member of a competitive swim team will be highly valued.
• Ability to meet all USA/Georgia Swimming certification and coaching requirements (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, USA Swimming Background Check, Athlete Protection, First Aid, Concussion, etc.).
• Experience with implementing dryland training programs for swimmers.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be a strong swimmer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to read written or electronic documents written in English with or without vision correction.
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Other:

• Successful background check, reference checking, and drug screening clearance.
• Acknowledgment of and agreement with GAC’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
