Summer Camp Admin Assist & Worship Leader 2024

We are seeking dynamic, engaging individuals to join our extraordinary team in our GROW Summer Camp this upcoming summer from June 3 through July 26, 2024.  The GROW Administrative Assistant (Admin Assist) & Worship Leader position will be a full-time, 7-week position in the summer. The Admin Assist & Worship Leader will be responsible for facilitating daily camp administrative tasks at the front desk, and specifically will:

  • Reflect the GACS mission to students, families, employees, and the general public.
  • Provide administrative support for the Summer Camp Director and staff including answering phones and communicating with families.
  • Communicate and work with Spartan Summer Camp staff members.
  • Maintain and safeguard all confidential information pertaining to campers, their families, and summer camp staff.
  • Communicate efficiently with the Director to achieve goals related to summer camp.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Assist with other projects, as needed.
  • Performs other duties, as needed.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will possess relevant experience; experience in a Before/After School program and/or Summer Camp program for grades K-3 and higher is preferred or in an educational setting;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to convey a dynamic, energetic, patient, and nurturing spirit with passion and skill;
  • Flexible, with the ability to work in a highly demanding, sometimes stressful environment;
  • Successful reference check, drug screening, and background check clearance;
  • Acknowledgment and acceptance of GAC’s Statement of Faith/Community Covenant.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work standing/walking throughout assigned shift with some rest periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to frequently kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, and/or squat to interact with children.
  • Must be able to read written or electronic documents with or without correction.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must be able to write using English in a legible form.
  • Must be able to traverse between facilities on campus.

Other:

  • Successful background check, reference checks, and drug screening clearance required.
