Middle School: Teacher Candidate Pool 2024-2025
Greater Atlanta Christian School (GACS) is a leading independent school in northeast Georgia in Norcross. We are still in the process of determining our needs for the 2021-22 school year. In the meantime, we are proactively seeking dynamic, engaging individuals who would be interested in joining our faculty community. The faculty role would:
- Teach the respective curriculum for Fifth Grade to Ninth grade,
- Maintain regular office hours in order to advise and assist students in a variety of areas, including potential careers in their related field of study,
- Assess students and analyze results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs,
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; share best practices,
- Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress,
- Manage student behavior to ensure every student is fully engaged,
- Actively participate in professional development activities,
- Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs,
- Support the mission, vision, and core values of Greater Atlanta Christian School,
- Serve as sponsors of student organizations and participate in campus and community events.
- Perform other related work as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the related curriculum area is required; a master’s degree is preferred;
- The successful candidate will possess relevant teaching experience; the ability to teach at the AP level is preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
- Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices;
- Ability to embrace innovation as a tool to teach, engage, and motivate students;
- Knowledge of student cognitive development and various learning styles;
- Share GAC’s commitment to differentiated learning and exhibit comprehension of connected learning skills, concepts, and tools.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community;
- Computer and internet search skills.

- Successful background check, reference checking, and drug/alcohol screening clearance,
